Loan Assistance

There are a number of loan assistance programs dedicated to agriculture. A brief description of each is provided below.

Emergency Farm Loan Program
The emergency loan program assists farmers in recovering from losses resulting from natural disasters.

Farm Disaster Relief Loan
The Bank of North Dakota (BND) will provide financial relief to North Dakota farmers impacted by Presidential-declared disasters in certain weather-related events.

Emergency Conservation Program
Provides emergency funding and technical assistance for farmers and ranchers to rehabilitate farmland damaged by natural disasters.

Farm Ownership Loans
Helps established farmers who have suffered financial setbacks from natural disasters, or whose resources are too limited to maintain profitable farming operations.

Business and Industrial Loans
With a focus of improving the economic climate in rural communities, this USDA Rural Development loan program can provide assistance in times of disaster.

North Dakota Department of Agriculture logoAgricultural Mediation Services
The North Dakota Ag Department offers mediation services to farmers facing financial hardships. Mediation begins when a farmer and another party has failed to result in a repayment plan or when a creditor rejects a borrower’s restructuring plan or considers foreclosure.
