If you live in a county or reservation that has a Presidential Disaster Declaration with Individual Assistance, you may be eligible for additional programs and services.
There are currently three (3) levels of Presidential Disaster Declarations in place in North Dakota for individuals. Each level has different assistance available (check the link above to determine your areas declaration level.)
- Individual Assistance & Public Assistance (orange counties on map)
If you have a designation that includes Individual Assistance you may be eligible for the greatest number of programs. - Public Assistance (cream counties on map)
If you have a Public Assistance designation, you may be eligible for extended Tax Support through the Internal Revenue Service and State Tax Department. - No Designation
If you there is no designation in your county, you do not qualify for federal disaster assistance programs. Check Loan Assistance for possible assistance alternatives.
Individuals in disaster areas that do not have a Presidential Disaster Declaration may request a temporary postponement of payments from their lenders. Information regarding other loan sources is also included. Insurance Support
